GreenPeach 2008

August 29th - September 1st
Georgia's Student/Youth Environmental-Action Conference


What

GreenPeach 2008! will be host to over 100 Georgia students and young people who are working on campuses and in communities to create environmental and socially just solutions to our worlds largest problems. This four day conference we will provide spaces for yound people to share experiences, create new relationships and ideas, discuss local/international environmenal justice issues and
solutions, to create plans for action on these issues, conduct community service and organizing projects, and to have a GREAT time with like-minded individuals. Look forward to workshops and lectures on issues from anti-oppression and sustainable urban living techniques to mountain top removal and global climate change. GreenPeach 2008! is the third annual meeting of Georgia Students for Sustainability, an open network (all are welcome!) of Georgia climate and social justice activists supported by the Southern Energy Network.

On-Site Sign-In will be from 12pm-10pm Friday August 29th at Martha Brown United Methodist Church, 468 Moreland Avenue, East Atlanta.
You MUST register to attend.

History of Tennessee Alumni and Students for Sustainable Campuses (TASSC)

TASSC is a coalition that was founded at the 3rd annual Southeast Student Renewable Energy Conference in 2006 at UT Knoxville. Students working on clean energy campaigns connected to collaborate on state-wide initiatives to have a larger impact on our natural and social environment.
