Georgia's Student/Youth Environmental-Action Conference
|
GreenPeach 2008! will be host to over 100 Georgia students and young people who are working on campuses and in communities to create environmental and socially just solutions to our worlds largest problems. This four day conference we will provide spaces for yound people to share experiences, create new relationships and ideas, discuss local/international environmenal justice issues and
solutions, to create plans for action on these issues, conduct community service and organizing projects, and to have a GREAT time with like-minded individuals. Look forward to workshops and lectures on issues from anti-oppression and sustainable urban living techniques to mountain top removal and global climate change. GreenPeach 2008! is the third annual meeting of Georgia Students for Sustainability, an open network (all are welcome!) of Georgia climate and social justice activists supported by the Southern Energy Network.
