Frequently Asked Questions
Q: I really want to help the Southeast clean energy movement take hold in my state, how can I help?
A: Recruit! Help get your school and neighboring schools to the SSREC Please see our outreach page

Q: What is included in the registration fee?
A: The registration fee includes the conference activities, food, and tenting space or housing with community members from Valdosta.

Q:How do I get an invoice for registration for my university?
A: We can send you an attached invoice or via paypal. If you need this please email SSREC@climateaction.net and indicate what type you need, how many students it is for, and if you registered before the 7th.

Q: Where will participants sleep?
A: There are two choices for housing. You can tent in the secure athletic field with close access to restrooms or stay with local students and community members. If you have already registered and DID NOT fill out the housing portion of the registration form and need housing, please email SSREC@climateaction.net

Q: Is there a hotel close by if participants choose?
A: Yes there are several close by. We suggest the Howard Johnson Express (2811 N. Ashley Street)

Q: What will be the best means of transportation to Valdosta?
A: Car Pooling! It saves energy, saves polluting emissions, and its fun! We encourage people to investigate this early and create a plan so it is not a last minute nightmare. Usually schools have "ride-share" vehicles, or "car-pool" vehicles. Sometimes it takes a certification class to drive a university vehicle, these classes are typically once a month, so plan ahead! Check out our logistics page for more information on directions and Traveling.

Q: Does Clemson have an airport? Will transportation be provided if I choose to finance a flight for myself ?
A: Valdosta does have an airport. For more info visit the Valdosta Airport Page

A: Your daily needs, bathroom toiletries, a sleeping bag, your notebook, your thinking cap, your friends and a smile! We also encourage you to bring a laptop if you have one.
