Power Vote is a non-partisan campaign of the Energy Action Coalition that will build youth power and demand bold solutions to global warming during the election season and beyond.We will be harnessing the diversity and creativity of our movement to demand that a just and sustainable transition away from fossil fuels is not only on the agenda in the upcoming elections, but is a top priority for our new President, Congress, state legislatures, city councils, business leaders and beyond!
We will build a youth voting bloc 1 million strong to elevate the issue of climate change, hold our elected representatives accountable, and we will continue working together on our campuses and in our communities to usher in a clean and just energy revolution.

This campaign is about more than making our issues a priority up and down the ballot in November 2008.
POWER VOTE is about building youth power and holding our ground as new leadership comes into place. On November 4, our work doesn't end but ramps up to ensure that promises our kept in the first 100 days of new administration and that all our amazing new youth climate leaders have a clear plan for creating real, lasting change in their communities.
POWER VOTE is about putting more power behind the great work that is already being done.
As we work to stop all new coal and nuclear facilities, end mountaintop removal, win clean energy policies for our communities, and advance green jobs, We will call on the leaders in our governments to take bold action to create a just and sustainable energy future. Every time a candidate makes an appearance we'll be there with green hard hats on and no coal signs waving. Every time a bill is up or a council member is compromising our future, we'll be there. You'll see us at the conventions, at coal plants and oil refineries, and on major coordinated days of action. And you will see us at the polls. We will be impossible to ignore.

Sign-up to Get Involved with Power Vote! We need people to be campus, state, and regional coordinators. As a coordinator you will not only be helping to run the campaign, but you will be shaping the campiagn.
The program will kick off this summer, when the local leaders of Power Vote come together for a comprehensive grassroots organizing training. Then, we'll return to our local communities or college campuses in the fall with one mission - to show leaders at all levels that youth want to see bold and immediate action to solve global warming, build a clean energy economy and support environmental justice for all communities.
