Veggie Oil Bus comes to Athens!

This week, the W(e)VOW, Waste Vegetable Oil Wagon finally got on the road. We had a rocky start, and we had to send it back to the mechanic, but because of our contributions we were able to raise close to $1,000!!

Today, the bus arrived in Athens, GA where the crew set up and have continued to register people and sign Power Vote Pledges.

Here’s a quick update from our Mississippi Organizer:  “Athens is so beautiful! We got in at one in the morning and were greeted by the beautiful Athens crew. Big thanks to Ian Karra, Cristina DuQue, and Kesea Norris for the warm welcome. Can't wait to hit the streets today to register young people to vote and pledge to vote with our environment! Tonight we will be celebrating our Cleanin' Up the Dirty South Tour at the Southern Energy Network Summer Bus Tour Comes to DT Athens and Terrapin Beer Company party!!!”
