Cleaning Up the Dirty South

Young people from across the South are standing up against dirty energy and bringing about climate change solutions.

We're building power across our region by creating a unified voice through the "Cleaning Up the Dirty South" platform. By sharing resources, stories, and people power our movement for a clean enegry future grows stronger. From creating campus green energy funds to stopping dirty energy expansion in our community we are cultiving progress across the south.

Inclusive, Powerful, Regional

We are stepping up our messaging, tactics, and power in the South by uniting all of our work through the “Cleaning Up the Dirty South” platform. Through collective campus and community action we will show our elected officials that the youth climate movement is taking a stand in the South. The platform creates regional network of young people working for climate solutions through localized campus and community campaigns. By joining our local campaigns together through the regional platform we grow our strength through numbers and a unified voice of young people across the south calling for a clean energy future.

To clean up the dirty south we will:

• Promote a smart, just, energy economy through sustainable energy policies for campuses
• Connect our campuses to communities to stop the expansion of dirty energy in the south

• Call on our elected officials to follow young peoples leadership on clean energy
